High Intensity Interval Training
Put simply HIIT workout is short, hard to very hard and Intense to Very Intense depending on the participants fitness levels and experience.
After a warm up of mobility and breathing exercises the HIIT workout which usually lasts between 10 and 25 minutes begins.
Body weight exercise such as burpees, sprints and jump squats are used to elevate the heart rate and breathing rate
The HIIT workouts are physically and mentally challenging but good fun and a great change from your average workout.
Done correctly twice a week (as it takes 48 hours to recover) HIIT workouts have massive gains in body fat reduction, Strength, muscle gain and anaerobic capacity.
