Spicy, Saucey, Sicilian Smoothie

-1 and 1/2 large tomatoes, cut up

-1 handful of basil

-1 small red capsicum (cut up and take out seeds)

-2 cloves of garlic

-1 stalk of celery chopped up

-1/2 cup watercress

-1 handful of spinach

-a couple of shakes of tabasco sauce or chilli flakes (optional)

-1 large teaspoon of horseradish cream (optional)

-pinch of salt

-2 cups of water.

Whizz up well with a couple blocks of ice......to your spicy health!

Enjoy Ginger



The volatile oils in ginger have long made it a useful herbal remedy for nasal and chest congestion. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over a 1-inch piece of peeled, grated ginger; steep for 10 minutes; and strain. Add a pinch or two of cayenne pepper to the water and drink as needed.

Get off your back rest at least a minute or 2 at a time. Knees towards each other. Shoulders away from each other. Chin back, Chest up. - Dr Eric Goodman

 When you are on a long flight, long drive or just sitting at the computer for long periods, take the time out to do the above. It will increase blood circulation, take the pressure off your abdominal tissues and organs, elongate your spine and discs and associated muscles. It opens up your pecs, takes pressure off the trapezius muscles and brings your head and neck into the correct position, over your body, not slumping forward. So important.

Green Island Smoothie

There's always time for some good nutrition and re-vitalisation. This smoothie recipe is great for some over indulgence or just a good morning pick-me-up:

The Jay Gee recipe:

- 3 organic eggs

- 1 hand full of baby spinach

- 1 banana

- 1 cup fresh coconut or coconut water

- 1 small piece of ginger or turmeric

......all in the Nutria Bullet for 45 seconds... magnificent.

- 1 cup of frozen raspberries

- 1 cup of almond milk

- 2 teaspoons of honey

- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice

....all in the blender and enjoy.
